Dmitry,
I have been presenting live programs with RB for a few months now and watching others do the same. I can see that an extra playlist window would be very useful for live presenters - allowing two playlist windows to be visible at the same time.
We currently use:
Workzone number 2
Left panel activated
Main Playlist window in the centre
Search / Files / Cartwall on the right *** This is the window I am talking about ***
It is very easy to search and drag songs from the right window (when using the "search" function) into the active playlist tab window because both windows are active and visible at the same time.
Currently many of our live presenters have a master playlist of their favorite songs - but access to this playlist is usually via the playlist tab window 2 where they can copy and paste tracks to the active playlist tab window. This is not the easiest way to do things because both windows are not visible at the same time - and it is a hassle for a live presenter to do while he is busy running a live show.
Being able to click and drag from a playlist on the right window to the left window would be much easier and a huge advantage to presenters doing live shows. And that right playlist window would not need all the columns of the centre playlist window - probably only: title, duration and play count.
The existing Search tab function that accesses the music library is a very useful feature and very quick to use. A couple of features would make it more useful:
1. When searching for an "artist" it would be good for the songs to be listed in A-Z order automatically. For example, entering "beatles" in artist mode could list all the beatle songs in A-Z order - making it much easier to scroll down and find the song you are after.
2. Same with other queries - having the results appearing in A-Z sequential order is a logical outcome
*** Forgot to mention that the new playlist window should be read only. ***
Thanks, Jamie C.
