What priority does Radio Boss use when choosing the next file to play when in SHUFFLE?

I find that when in SHUFFLE, occasionally the same file will repeat after the next 2 or 3 files have run (playlist is about 1,500 files). How does SHUFFLE decide what file is to be played next?
Is it possible to get SHUFFLE to play only certain files and ignoring the other files in the playlist?

Shuffle tries to choose different tracks, but it's not guaranteed. If you need better track selection, either use Track List: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_track_list.htm or Playlist Generator: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_playlist_generator_pro.htm

You can also add TrackListProtection from the Playlist menu . If you rate songs it will work I think with these and bpm but there is no substitute for a playlist .
