PNG or JPG

I'm new to RadioBoss, but this part I am finding very confusing.
From what I can read in the help files, if I want to send the Album Art to my website the file "must" be PNG.
This is strange in itself,
but when I try to add or change the artwork I am only given the option to add JPG. No other format seems to be permitted.

Can someone explain this?

Not necessary, it can be PNG or JPG, depending on how you have configured artwork saving in the settings: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/log_files___reports.htm

A track can have artwork in different formats, I think RadioBOSS will also read GIF and BMP and maybe others, but for exporting/saving the artwork, RadioBOSS only supports PNG and JPG.

Yes, because it saves only one file and you specify in what format it will be.

I thnk you are missing the point of my question. I have to select jpg or mpg in the settings. Then that is my only option. So if I am working on the systam and updating my cover art, if I am using different formats I have to change my settings each time. Is that correct? Seem like an unessary restriction to me.

I'm not sure I understand what you want to achieve. Artwork saving in RadioBOSS exists so that you can export the artwork somewhere. And you configure it to export it as PNG or JPG. It's configured one time, no need to change it at all after that. Regardless of the artwork format that's in the tracks, it will be converted to the format you have selected in RadioBOSS.

I thought it's for artwork export. If you need to edit track's artwork, then yes it only supports JPEG images now.

Thank you. At last we got to the bottom of it. I have another question regarding sending the image to the website, but I'll open a fresh topic for it.
