Is it possible process to implement this? or it is busy for now? Not me interest to send the metadata of selected tracks. But if the name of the event
I'm not sure this feature can be useful for other users... Overlay players never sent title updates and this feature was never requested.
More than ever it was requested. I think that if the attached image is analyzed, the program doesn't do what should.
Reading log may work but seems more complex. Even I have the developed system for when it detects [AdScheduler].
Txt I always read, since I extract metadata for use on RDS.

Overlays never sent the title to the server and I don't see a reason when this will be useful (except for some really special cases). The UI will be updated to disable the "Send task title" option when you have overlay selected to notify that titles are not going to be sent. Another option is to send the title only when the option is checked. I'll think about it - no promises for now :)

As you said above, does not interest me send the track metadata from player overlay to the txt. (this really does not think that is useful, if is superimposed with the Player main not think that have sense)
I just need to send the name of the event to the txt  :)

If you will be reading the txt file (periodically?) then you can read the report file instead (e.g. read the last 200 characters and analyze of the overlay advert was started).

The log file was deactivated for fewer write operations since the information was not important and to increase the life of the disk (SSD). although it could be activated but there are some problem  :(

Anyway the txt CurrentSong has to be analyzed for RDS. so you have 2 files to read every half second.

I also use, overlay player for a beep hour. It could detect if it is different from "[a] beep" but then if you need another overlay event is not going to work.

And most troubling of all of this method: I can not detect when he finished advertising. In the log is not written anything when finished. The idea of ??the event name in the txt CurrentSong, is that when the event ends, the txt say the name of the main player, or if you stop it is empty txt.
Events should last forever 8 minutes (sweepers) but it is not 100% reliable and there may be some overlap or silence.

nelson c currently I can't think of any practical solution for this... Adding features for special cases is a path to nowhere, so we should think of something else. I suggest you to create a different topic where you describe the situation in details and probably some solution will be found.

Here is my request: a global hotkey for microphone.

Right now the default hotkey is space, which works great, but only then RadioBoss is the active window.
For those of use who broadcast live and talk a lot, this is the key that we use very often - to switch between talk and music.

Global hotkey (e.g. Ctrl+F1 or something like that), so we don't have to make sure the window is active all the time, would be huge help!

Hello,
I wanted to point out that in version 0.3 under certain circumstances when you load the songs on the player if the playcount is zero no number appears next to the BPM. Did you also notice that you can bug?

Thank you for your request, this feature should be added in one of the next updates.

If you select the track, does it show the correct Playcount and BPM in Track Information? From the screenshot it appears that it failed to read additional tag information (where playcount, BPM and other fields are stored).

Hi,

Whilst using the Beta 5.5 I encountered an issue with my mic during a live broadcast.  I decided to use the Hotkey F8 for the Press To Talk (PTT) feature.  I noticed that when held pressed to talk, RadioBoss freezes and I was unable to benefit from the Countdown feature for my Intro's and Outros. I also noticed that whilst still pressed down, that the track I had just played was repeated and that I was unable to press any part of RadioBoss to play a Jingle from the Cart or the next track.  RadioBoss failed to respond whilst the hotkey was pressed for PTT.

Listening back to the show, I realised that my mic had stuttered all the way though my live voice tracks.  I have included a short clip in 4 parts, so you can hear it happen in the first 3.  The 4th is just there to show that it worked fine afterwards.

SOLUTION
I changed the settings by unchecking Press to talk so the hotkey F8 acted as an on - off switch. I was not aware of the "Stuttering Mic" issue until afterwards so thankfully the rest of the show was unaffected.

Thank you

Mickey

The problem does not reproduce here... Can you please tell what operating system do you use and what are MIC settings in RadioBOSS?

WIN 10 - I have also attempted to reproduce the issue but as I have changed my settings since, I am unable to.
The Audio from the playlist played fine except at the end of the Live Voice track, The song playing and the VT seemed to speed up as if on fast forward.

I will try and replicate it and note my settings which I will upload if successful.

Many Thanks

Thank you for the reply. Please let me know if this problem happens again. A screenshot of Inputs settings in RadioBOSS would be helpful, too.

UPDATE:  It seems that the Hotkey F8 was pressed and held down as you would for Press To Talk but the settings were in on / off mode causing the Mic to turn on and off giving the Stuttering effect
BUT! in Press to talk mode, the screen does freeze or seems unresponsive.  when holding down the F8 Mic hotkey.  The jingles from the cart wall work when pressed but the  "Animation and countdown" stops until you release the F8 Hotkey. This happens to the LED VU Meter and the "Visuals Graphics ON AIR "Bar top centre.

PS.  The "Animations" resume if you right click on the cart wall bringing up the small menu.

I have no screen recording facility but I can record if it helps identify the issue!

Is be added a hotkey to change the rating in RB 5.5? I'm thinking that a good shortcut would be Alt or shift + number in the keyboard numeric.
You would be very practical for tracks without rating.

Also I want to know if is going add those fields that need in getplaylist2 (rating, playcount, Intro ?in milliseconds)

Thanks!

Yes, a hot key will be added in the next update. The update is delayed a bit as we want to include the updated user manual there as well.

For the getplaylist/getplaylist2 commands, it's not decided yet but either of those commands will be extended to allow getting the full playlist information.

Cheshunt Radio This doesn't happen here... Holding the F8 (the MIC key) doesn't freeze the timers or VU bars. Can you please make a video of the problem?
