RadioBOSS Advanced (7.0.1.9): Sweepers Intro - Auto Intro..!

RadioBOSS Advanced (7.0.1.9)

Good morning to everyone and in particular to the Administrators of this spectacular Software!

I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert on RB but I'm slowly becoming aware of all the fantastic possibilities.

1. When planning an event, I insert a sweeper that should act as a promo (start of program), but it doesn't start. I am going crazy..! (See photo: Sweepers Intro)

2. In "Auto Intro", I managed to establish the rules to automatically insert the Station ID every certain time established by me, but having 4/5 "personalized" spacers, that is, dedicated, I want the same ones were inserted within the rotations indicated by me.
As per the photo, I have created different rules for each program or rotation, but they are not activated..! To the point that I deactivated them, "settling" only for the Station IDs...! (See photo: Auto Intro)

One last question.

3. Directions for how to insert Thimeo Stereo Tool.

I've been working on it for several days, but I can't find any solutions.

I ask you, kindly, to help me.

Thank you in advance

Sweeper can't be used as intro for the item you start. Sweepers have different meaning: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/sweepers.htm

I want the same ones were inserted within the rotations indicated by me.
You can create a rule that will check file name or artist/title to make it apply only for specific tracks. Rules are checked from top to bottom (by default) so you should place more specific rules at the top, and more general rules to the bottom.

Good evening, thank you.
He will pay attention to her answers.
The sweeper cannot be used as an introduction for the starting item. Sweepers have different meanings: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/sweepers.htm
1. How can I insert a presentation promo at the beginning of each event?

You can create a rule that will check the file name or artist/title to apply only to specific tracks. Rules are selected from top to bottom (by default), so you should place the most specific rules at the top and the most general rules at the bottom.
2. I'll try.

Please see this:
https://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,3480.0.html 3. Ok.

Sweeper non può essere utilizzato come introduzione per l'oggetto che inizi. Gli spazzatori hanno significati diversi:
Thanks to his advice, after several tests, inserting the Tags in the playlists, I finally managed to make "Auto intro" work.

But, forgive me if I insist...

1. I've done several tests, but I still can't start a "promo" before the playlist starts.

I tried adding a command in the programming: "Play track from folder"; set at the same time as the playlist...but nothing happened.

How can I do? 😕

Furthermore, I take advantage of this post to know:

2. Regarding the track repetition rules, even though you have inserted the tags and scanned all the tracks in the Library... the rule is not applied. 😞

PS: It is certainly a topic addressed several times in the forum, but unfortunately I can't get to the bottom of it..!

SOLVED..!!! 👌 💪

it's useless.. in all things it takes commitment, stubbornness and passion..!

Basically I was wrong about creating events.

So I'm writing the steps so that they can be used by other users:
To be able to insert a Sweeper that acts as an opener (a theme song, a promo..) to the playlist, a program or a rotation..

1. Add event > Multiple action on events > + > Track or Playlist > + > Wizard > Play a track from Playlist/Folder > Next > Select a track or Playlist from folder > Ok > set date and time > In what Position? Replace playlist > Ok..!

Now, I just need to know how I can apply "The repetition rules, I repeat, since I set the tags well..! :confuso:

1. I've done several tests, but I still can't start a "promo" before the playlist starts.
Events can perform multiple actions. Add "promo" as an additional action before the playlist.

I tried adding a command in the programming: "Play track from folder"; set at the same time as the playlist...but nothing happened.
Two events that configured to start at the same time is not a good idea. It's unpredictable as to in what order those events will start.

2. Regarding the track repetition rules, even though you have inserted the tags and scanned all the tracks in the Library... the rule is not applied. 😞
Depending on what rules you're referring to. Track List repeat protection is only applied to Track List items and nothing else: https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_track_list.htm
Same for Sweeper repeat protection - only for sweepers.
Repeat protection rules defined in the Playlist Generator only work when creating a playlist and nowhere else.

È imprevedibile in quale ordine inizieranno questi eventi.
infatti, dopo aver provato... non ha funzionato. Ancora una volta, l'ho risolto ... (vedi sopra). Confermi?

I created the rotation/playlist schedules without the help of "Playlist Generator" as, after several tests, I can't get it to work.

I try to follow these directions.. https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_track_list.ht https://manual.djsoft.net/radioboss/en/using_track_list.htm

1. given that all the playlists are placed in a single folder, can I insert them from "Folder" while being sure that the same rule is applied to all the playlists?
2. So, after creating these Track Lists I have to reformulate all the events?

Please write in English.

When you use Track List it will use what tracks you configured it to use - a playlist, or a folder. Each Track List item can have a different source of tracks. And some of them (e.g. station IDs) can be made to ignore repeat protection rules.

It depends on what events do and what you need them to do.

I apologize. Translation did not apply.

Ok!

Ok!

At this point I should create the Track Lists, with the necessary repetition rules (I hope to apply them well...) and insert them in place of the old playlists/rotations in the events.

Track list repeat protection rules are applied for all track lists that are used in RadioBOSS. Even if the rules are not right (e.g. you see errors that it can't find a suitable track) then you can adjust rules and all Track Lists will use the new rules automatically.

1. Repeat rules are not activated.
2. And then, when I activate the playlist from "run now", I find the "duplicates?
Surely I'm doing something wrong?

RESOLVED!

When scheduling events, I would insert playlists from a shared repository and then it would read them twice!
So, just to help other users who may encounter the same problem as me.

I still have the problem of repetition rules that I haven't yet understood how to solve.
My playlists keep playing different songs "by the same artist"..! This is what I would like to avoid!

I have carefully applied the various steps, but nothing...I can't....
I ask you, kindly, to help me!
Thank you

To clarify, do you use the Playlist Generator to create a playlist, or you use the Track List? Where do you find repeats - are they in the playlists that are generated by the Playlist Generator? But, as you say,
1. Repeat rules are not activated.
So this means there's no repeat protection.

From the Playlist Generator, I tried first, with the Playlists, applying the necessary parameters and rules to them and nothing happened. Then I generated the playlists automatically without success. If you want, I'll attach some screenshots to check where I'm wrong.

Playlist (the one you create in RadioBOSS window) is merely a playlist window where you can add tracks and they will play, from top to the bottom, in random order, repeating - depending on what playback options you enable. The playlist window itself doesn't have any repeat protection rules.

Then I generated the playlists automatically without success
What "without success" means? Do you see error messages, or playlists are not what you want them to be? In case of latter, I think you should check your rotation if it's configured properly.

Good evening. Forgive me if I reply late for work reasons.

So, I understood very well.

1. All the playlists I created that appear in the RB window (after I realized that even applying repeat protection from the RB "Playlists" screen "Don't Repeat Tracks" didn't work. ..and I don't understand why this function was inserted..!) I loaded them from "Playlist Generator" paying attention to all the rules..so that the tracks are not repeated, I activated them in the RB window and nothing changed ...The tracks are always the same and continue to repeat themselves.

2. Then, I saved the same playlists in a new folder, I created the categories, for each Playlist I created the Tgas (naming them like the title of the Playlist or Rotation), I applied all the necessary rules, paying close attention and following the various advice on the forum, I saved the presets and started RB. Nothing has changed.

I'm probably wrong about the repetition rules.

I would like my playlists to change "every day", not repeat the artists and songs.

How you do it? If you want I will also add screenshots of the various steps.

What "without success" means? Do you see error messages, or playlists are not what you want them to be? In case of latter, I think you should check your rotation if it's configured properly.
This is exactly what I want to understand how to do it...?
Is there a tutorial, an explanatory link?
Thank you so much!

Good morning everyone.
After a series of compliments towards this software and those who created it, I must, unfortunately, highlight some questionable points.
Mine is not meant to be a controversy, but a constructive note for myself and others.
I've been trying to figure out how to "not repeat artists in my playlists" for weeks, but to no avail. I asked for a link and I was given the guide (which I now know by heart like a poem..!). It didn't solve anything.
I have a series of playlists that I need to activate but I always see repeated artists...!
What's the point of not repeating tracks in the RB window if it doesn't work...?
I'm working through the playlist generator...but nothing at all!!!
I applied all the instructions as per the guide, but nothing...
Is there any good person who could help me? I can attach screenshots. Maximum availability. Thank you in advance.
