Re-queue Feature

Hello DJ Soft!

First-off we love RadioBoss...works perfectly! We currently use the scheduler to insert music which has been pre-recorded to a voice-track. Example, Britney Spears with a 10 second into which is talked up by one of our jocks, may get inserted at 10:25am. But 20 minutes later, the same Britney Spears song will re-play because it is already inserted into the "playlist". We do most on-air shows by automated voice track. Is there a way to have RadioBoss recognize a certain song, or artist which has played recently (after being inserted into the playlist via the scheduler) and it will re-queue the song somewhere else within the playlist?

How does the music is inserted into the playlist? Are you using Track List feature, or Playlist Generator?

In the upcoming RadioBOSS 4.7 release, there are plans to improve the "no-repeat" feature, so it'll check the log of what songs were played and select songs according to this. This will work for Track List, Playlist Generator and Playlist Generator Pro.

The playlist itself is made using the Playlist Generator Pro. We have about 110 songs within the library itself and usually make a 10 hour playlist. So songs are generated within a 10 hour window and the categories are set so that the same artist/song is not played within 120 mins of eachother. But like I said, we have pre-recorded tracks with Jocks talking up the songs we play (which are also within the playlist) so when a song is scheduled to go off via the scheduler, the same song could play within the same hour, or closer. If there was a way RadioBoss could read the song title and either re-queue the song later in the playlist or just take it out of the playlist, that would work great. I have attached a picture of what I'm trying to explain.

OK. I got it.

I suppose it will be easier to add the pre-recorded tracks to your music library and use it in the playlist generator. Its no-repeat filter will do all the job.

Checking the playlist before inserting event is not that easy... and it will complicate the UI.
