scheduling interruptions....

I've been experimenting with the 'overlay' function in RadioBoss to incorporate news interruptions into an ongoing podcast.

I'd like to notify listeners before the interruption that the podcast or playlist will pause for a moment. Ideally, a message would play, something along the lines of: "We interrupt this podcast for an important news announcement."

After the news segment concludes, I want to smoothly transition back by playing a clip that says, "Now, back to our podcast in progress."

Could you guide me on how to set this up?

You can create a playlist with necessary items:
1. Notification
2. The podcast
And schedule this playlist to be played with Overlay option.

While the podcast is playing, it's possible to pause it for an overlay event / notification, and then resume playback afterward — which works great.

I’m also able to send custom metadata during podcast playback, which is helpful. However, I’d like to send specific metadata at the exact moment the podcast is paused/interrupted to play the event / notification...

The goal is to use this metadata as a trigger for ad insertion, sent via RadioBoss Cloud. Any suggestions or ideas to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
