The files/tracks named with diacritics or from folders named with diacritics are not played at all.
I remember you've send the video a while ago for some other issue... Could you please make a video for this one? This will ease the things and the fix will be available this week.

Are you talking about the picture from this post: http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,2923.msg8950.html#msg8950?
The file name seems to be correct there, all characters like ? ? ? ? ? are in place and not lost or corrupted.
You can send one of those files to support@djsoft.net, just in case.

Thanks for the  detailed error report!
It will be fixed in the next update.
That is what you said.
I know. But this bug is not confirmed yet: everything works as expected here, that's why I asked you to provide a step-by-step instruction on how to get this bug.
Also please select the file in the playlist and open tag editor - does it read tags?

Every day the tracks with diacritics (not from tags, but thei names) and from folders with diacritics are not played. I told you : If I play manually that track directly in Main Playlist it is played.
BUT FROM SCHEDULE IT IS NOT PLAYED. AND I DEMONSTRATE THAT RB DO NOT READ PATH WITH DIACRITICS

SEE AGAIN THE IMAGE, PLEASE. IT IS SIMPLE.

No luck with reproducing it from the scheduler either... Diacritics, hieroglyphs and any other characters read correctly and file is played. As it supposed to.
To solve the bug you've reported, we need a way to reproduce it. Currently any tests show that everything works and there's nothing to fix. Could you please give a detailed instruction on how to get this bug?

On the image I see that the file names are correct and there's a file open error. This doesn't help much with reproducing the error here... :( Is it something I missing there?

I send you in image more detail like for children.
Please study it very attentively and repair this stupid, stupid bug.
Thanks again and again and again.
By the way, the image is very large to see the details. Hope you will see.

AND THE PATH IS GENERATED BY PLAYLIST GENERATOR. CHECK THERE. HOW DOES IT CREATE THE PATH WITH DIACRITICS?

CHECK AGAING THE IMAGE TO SEE THAT IT IS REAL:

http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=2923.0;attach=2963;image

I tried to rename the file/track from playlist and from there too is missing ?.
So, the Playlist generator do not manage file and folder name with diacritics.

Check image.

This is the last argument. I can't do more and I can't decompile your software to repair it.
I wait you to solve this bug.

No one is asking for decompilation or anything like this. I just asked what you do to get the bug... Before this, you didn't mention that you're using Playlist Generator.
A quick test on Playlist Generator still doesn't reveal the bug. Tried to generate and export and generate by schedule. All paths and file names are correct, files are playing and everything is perfectly fine.

It seems that problem is somewhere else.
The letters could transform (eg. ? will become I) when you save the playlist in m3u format, not m3u8. If that m3u playlist is used by Playlist Generator, the result can be incorrect. Are you using m3u playlists anywhere?

To significantly speed up things, you could just post a sequence of actions you perform. Eg.
1) Start RB
2) Do thing A
3) Do thing B
...

So we'll do the same here, the bug will be reproduced and finally fixed.

I think I found a small error. now copy the plugins to the folder StereoTool C://program files/RadioBOSS/plugins/winamp/ and RB not detected, tube to save C://program files/RadioBOSS/plugins/ is a very silly mistake. VST maybe the same thing happens.

I understood. You see the  bug of the RB in images, but if you can't reproduce it you can't fix it. No one respectable software producer say that. OK. Thanks for nothing. My mistake when I bought RB. From months I have big continue stress with RB. That's it.

It was changed since RadioBOSS 4.7, plugins are now located in the C:\Program files\RadioBOSS\plugins\ folder.
The change was because some plugins refused to work when the last folder name wasn't named "plugins".
VST plugins location is configurable: Settings->Plugins and FX->VST plugins folder.

I see that diacritics characters are incorrect there for some reason. But from the images I can't tell *why* they became corrupted, that's why I asked for details on this. We need to find a source of problem, and fix it. But you only show the result...
Maybe you created the playlist in some other program and the bug is there. Or you saved playlist in the .m3u format instead of the default .m3u8 - this will remove all umlauts, etc. (depending Regional/Language setting in Windows). Or you edited the playlist in the Notepad and saved it incorrectly... There are 1000 reasons why track path can become corrupted.

There are very few developers who would even care about a bug which is 1) experienced by a very few users and 2) can not be reproduced. Most will just close the issue with the "nothing to fix" resolution (or they may just leave the bug stay for years without any action regarding it). That's the truth, believe me.

RB is used by many people all over the world. If the bug like this existed as you say, there will be huge number of requests from people suffering from it (especially Japanese and Chinese users). But this doesn't happen.

So I'm trying to fix the bug and ask what did you do to meet this bug?

Thanks.

My decision is to replace all diacritics from folders and files.
This looks like a solution.

Better solution will be to find the bug and fix it. The testers are now working on it. If you want to provide any additional information regarding the bug, this is a good time to share it.

Thanks! For me this topic is bug *fixed*.

Hi, sorry to put me first say that I chose my station RadioBOSS besides its features for the excellent support, and because we can provide ideas to further enhance this software. I have not seen anything truly "as good" as this program, and forgive me but I truly believe that you are ignoring this.
I think you will not provide any data to resolve the problem.
I recommend you do a video showing step by step the error in our station had a problem with a beta of 4.7 that RB could not be understood by screenshots and decided to make a video showing step by step through this problem and the error could be reproduced and was corrected.
