VoiceTrak + Bed

Usually VoiceTrack + Bed is without mixing with the next music track (intro).
In this case it is something like Jingle.

I think there is a BUG. When I use VT+Bed when is finished it stops abruptly (see image nr.1). This is not good at all. The sound it is so unprofessional.

The best approach is:
  • Bed Start firts then it fades;
  • VoiceTrack start after 1-2 seconds;
  • After VoiceTrack is finished Bed fades out slow.
See the second image.
Legend:
  • Blue - Bed;
  • Red - VoiceTrack.

The fade in/out will be added for bed. I'm not sure if we should add a delay between bed and VT. We'll start with fades for now.

Fades are good. But without a litle delay the voice will be fade it too. If will be like that than go back to Segue Editor wich takes time. Or, the worst scenario is to edit, fade and mix tracks in audio editor (audacity or anything else).

Actually, VT bed already has fixed fades - 0.3 sec for fade in and 0.5 sec for fade out.

You shouldn't manually mix tracks in the audio editor of course as it's a lot of work. I've added it as a request, this behavior will be improved.

Thanks ! I will add it in my agenda too.

Hi could you explain this for me please? In my experience the bed cuts out immediately with the voice and doesn't sound so good when transitioning to the next song. Ideally an option to let the bed go on for a little bit after the voice and fade out or to fade out earlier than the voice (based on the user's preference) would be good.

A separate fade out will be added for the bed to make the transition more smooth.
This would be super welcome. Thank you for considering it. For clarification, would it also control for how much longer the bed will play after the end of the voice track (after the last word), or is this to control fade *before* the end of the voice track?

Also, it's been a while since your last radioboss update. Should we expect one soon?

Oh and I thought I should mention that it's never guaranteed that beds will play on the voice track even if it's set to do so. In my experience it's usually a 40% chance the bed won't play. Whenever I encounter this error it usually requires a system restart to get the beds to play along side the voice tracks. Is this a bug?

Currently the bed timing is tied to the voice track, and bed can only be played within the voice track. With fades, it should sound much better.

A new version is currently under development. Should be released soon, but I don't have the exact date.

Do you see any error messages in the logs? It could be that you have added multiple beds, and some of them are not playable - this may cause the behavior you describe.
