I also noticed that it is not possible to give pre-listening whatever the streaming address, time announcement and text to speak.
This is fixed in the upcoming 5.8.0.4 update.

Please make sure that you don't use the "Monitor sound card" that outputs to the same device. It is usually the cause for the echo.DJSTU said:The problem is this....Output should only be outputting on VAC Line 3, BUT the same sound is also coming thru on the Speakers (that is BOTH VAC Line 3 and the Speakers at the same time)
This looks like a coincidence. You can try installing e.g. RB 5.7.0.2 to see how it performs.DJSTU said:On both occasions, with 5.8.0.3 and 5.8.0.4 this problem occurred immediately after the upgrade/s.
Sorry for that, will be fixed in the next update.celso said:The pre-listening in the time annoucement still does not work.
This only concerns MP3 files and only a subset of them, as in most cases, Gap killer works fine without enabling this feature. Enabling this option significantly slows down long tracks launch (e.g. 1-2 hour mixes) that's why it's disabled by default. This is useful so as our support staff can provide directions on how to fix the problem should anyone ask about it. This is rare, though, this is why it's buried deep in the "Advanced configuration".DJSTU said:BUT would this be obvious to a newbie using RB ? There is no indication that if you check the box for Gap Killer, their being another factor involved.
When you click the Save button, it checks if the playlist tab has a file name assigned. If it does - then the playlist is saved, no questions asked. If not, it will ask you for a file name - acts as if "Save As" was clicked. The file name for a tab may be reset for multiple reasons e.g. new playlist created.DJSTU said:This is an intermittent problem, it's not a consistent problem.
Which makes it more mystifying.
Currently there are no such plans, as technically this is limited not by the segue editor but by the player engine itself.djcodycoperadio said:Are you planning to make the segue editor so that I can move the a track past the beginning of the one before it for? That way if I'm running a sweeper over the ramp of a song I can set it where the words of the song start right after the sweeper even if the ramp is longer then the sweeper.

Thank you for that update.djsoft said:RadioBOSS 5.8.0.4 beta
What's new
DJSTU said:Change the RB Main Soundcard output to Default, then Save.
Open Options/Playback up again and then change the Main Soundcard output to the one you actually want to use (such as VAC Line 3) and then save again.
These actions stops all sound coming out of the speakers. Finally !!
This procedure worked on both Win computers running RB.
This turned out to be not that simple. According to the internal documentation, it intentionally shows the next track title - however, the docs do not say for what reason We'll leave it as it is for now.vk1337 // Basti said:Still unfixed:

This is hard to tell, as there are no problems with this here. By the way, in terms of DirectSound driver, there were only changes between RadioBOSS 5.7.2 and 5.8.0.0, then again changed in 5.8.0.1 and stayes that way for all subsequent versions (.2, .3, .4).DJSTU said:BUT NOTE, this did not happen in the original installs of 1 & 2.
The question is why did things turn sour when I first installed Ver 3 and not earlier in 1 & 2 ?
The %nextsong tag should also work in nowplaying. I suppose the problem here is that you have installed an older version where this tag is not supported, that version created the nowplaying file with the tag instead of actual song name.DJSTU said:Its also quite possible the event occurred after the nowplaying.txt file was written to, thus updating more regularly via RB is the the reason for it showing ??
