RadioBOSS 6.1 [beta]

Bonjour, je teste la version 6.1 je vois que radioboss me fait un 2x répétitions lors du lancement d'un programme. Est-ce un beug ou moi qui fait mal le programme.

just in case its a issue with the 64bit, i reinstalled the x86 version, same issue, the TTS event does schedule but when it tries to play it gives error 2. I am running windows 7, i have checked firewalls etc, there should be nothing stopping it. I have disabled my weather announcement for now until we can figure out what is going on

uninstalled all RB versions that were installed (both 32 and 64bit), rebooted, reinstalled RB latest beta 32bit, still giving error code 2 on the TTS.
Its not that important to the running of my station i suppose, i can live without it, but i liked to have the TTS for a weather announcement. More important during the florida storm season, june to october. doing a system restore to go back to system about a week or so ago when it was working ok. I would still like to know WHY it stopped working. I am just curious like that, i like to know the technical stuff.

I understand, the question was why check the level in the playlist, for what reason? Do you want to find files with 0dB level and normalize them?

The log shows "inserting auto-intro" which means the auto intro was played. Did it actually play?

This was fixed in the latest 6.1.0.1 update.

Yes, I would like to see it in the playlist if a song was normalized so you can open the tracktool as needed to edit the song.
I know that you could also do it for all songs in the library but not always new songs are added immediately in the library

i did 2 things, which i shouldn't do (as an IT tech support), never do 2 things, because you dont know which one fixed it, BUT
did a system restore, and also killed off a startup item, AVG anti virus
TTS is working now.

Hello, I am testing version 6.1 I see that radioboss makes me a 2x repetitions when launching a program. Is it a bug or me hurting the program.

If nothing's playing, the server will usually disconnect the stream, if you have enabled the silence option, please ensure to restart RadioBOSS for this to take effect. Some servers may still disconnect if they detect zero-data.
If it fails to start the event again, please press Ctrl+F4 and make a screenshot of the window, it will show some details to understand what's going on.

The option to cast silence was enabled years ago, so there must be a bug.
Here I attach a screenshot.

Again the same problem happened that I mentioned in the video. Playback did not start when loading an event

Can you please send a screenshot of the auto intro rule that doesn't work? Are there any error messages in the log?


Do you mean the Paste starts working as a Copy? Honestly, I don't see how this is possible. Does it also start to look odd? If so, please send a screenshot.


Do you need to ensure that the track is normalized?
Backed up the system and reinstalled windows because of a glitchy program I obtained.

Auto intro works fine now.

I ran into this with the scheduler. Same song separation set at 3 hours, (I have a lot of Christmas tunes). Artist set at 6 hours. Little confusing since it worked well last Christmas. I looked at several hours of play lists and sometimes get the same song "back to back" by 2 different artists.

This is what happens when I click the gear or cog icon after the program has ran for awhile. I have noticed that if I move the mouse pointer to the right of the Icon and click, I'll get the settings window to come up.
 
AVG anti virus
99% this was the cause. RadioBOSS creates a temp file with "spoken" text and it's very likely that antivirus didn't allow it to be created. The next update will provide (where possible) a detailed error message why TTS isn't working.

Please run the generate command as a separate event. It doesn't work properly sometimes when inserted into the playlist.

You should use the "Do not repeat track title" option for this.

How long did it run? I have tested on an instance that runs for more than a week, and the toolbar works properly there.

You can check the playlist generator log: click Settings->Open Settings Folder, open the Log folder, see the playlistgenerator.log file. Probably it'll show why the created playlists are empty.
It still doesn't explain why playback of the events doesn't start, though. RadioBOSS checks if it needs to start the playback, and in your case it should be started because nothing is playing at the time of starting the event. I've added it to the list of bugs to check.
Where do you use RadioBOSS, is it a real computer or a VM? Does it have antivirus software installed?

the next thing i did was to turn off system protection within windows 7

this seems to have made the TTS work again. I am thinking that the system protection settings are somehow preventing RB from creating the required temp file. I also deleted all the existing temp files, many of which seem to have been created by something called bitrock installer

I already found the error of the empty lists.
But anyway the bug that the playback does not start exists before.
It is a physical computer, without any antivirus software. With basic programs and RadioBOSS


Another little bug seen here is that it disconnects the encoders when playback stops

The new version should show a different error message. If it still shows error 2, it means that there was no error while creating a temporary sound from TTS and the file for some reason was removed right before playback.

I don't see any reason why it would do that. The temp file is created in the system Temp folder, its location is retrieved from the system, everything in accordance with the guidelines.
