sample rate problem when recording voice trakcs

I'm encountering a situation where, unless an interface is locked to a specific sample rate, the voicetracks are recorded such that they play at 0.5x The recordings play back perfectly in the recorder, but suffer this vari-speed problem when in radioboss. The files recorded play at the incorrect speed when played by other media players as well. While some interfaces make it easy to lock everything to a particular sample rate, others can be rather convoluted. I have this problem with both WASAPI and ASIO.

I think you should check the recording settings in RadioBOSS (Settings / Inputs). RadioBOSS will check the supported sample rates and resample, if needed, but if the device's driver reports false values, speed issues as you describe may happen. In your case, if speed is half of what it should be, it's more likely that you configured it as Stereo recording but the device only sends Mono data (while it's reported as Stereo). Try enabling the Mono option to see if it fixes the issyue.

I'm sure that the wrong sample rate is reported some how. While other apps can compensate for this, it will be advantageous for anyone to prelisten to the recorded voicetrack just to make sure all is well.

RadioBOSS works with (almost) every sound card without a problem, this is certainly not common. We can't reproduce this problem here (and we have lots of different sound cards to test) - so it would be not easy to get this sorted, as we'd need to obtain a card that has this problem.

Have you tried enabling the Mono mode or changing the sample rate, did it help?
