We'll try this way like we have been, if there's no plans to upgrade that to MySQL, then we know where to focus our efforts. Thank you.If you already familiar with RadioBOSS API then copying events between multiple instances is fairly easy.
It is recommended to simply install it over the existing installation. All settings will remain. Just in case, you can backup the settings before installing the update using the Settings->Settings backup and restore menu.I have a question,
will it be possible to install the final 6 version over a 5?
Or do you have to do a clean installation and if we have to do a clean install, can we use or convert the settings from the 5 series?
Thank you, looks like there is a bug.Stop after current track does not work. (I am using queue mode)
Thank you, looks like there is a bug.
This does not reproduce here. Are you sure that the playlist path and library name are correct and that the playlist is not empty?Makelibrary command does not work with playlist (The database is empty)
If that was the problem wouldn't it be on the log? That happened at the very beggining when i was testing... i would reduce separation everytime i got the error, but it was only with tracks, not artists because i use 2h separation, so i never got that error from artists, just tracks. I never repoted the track separation, only artists.Thing is, we can't fix a bug if we can't reproduce it here. There is a certain percentage of bugs that are reported, but can't be reproduced for various reasons; we can't sit on it - if it's too hard to get the bug, we consider it non-existent and solved. It's the way software industry works, we only allocate that much resources for each issue.
How often do you get artist repetitions? Are you sure that both tracks actually come from Track List and there's no error message stating "Unable to find track..."?
I'm using stop after current track "1", maybe I need to clarifyThank you, looks like there is a bug.
I have tryed it here and stop after current track works in queue Mode
Using Win 7
Yes, I just tested the event locally and it works. This does not reproduce here. Are you sure that the playlist path and library name are correct and that the playlist is not empty?
"Sometimes", does it have a more concrete value like "artists are repeated once in a year"? Any problems with the rules are added to the log, so in case it's unable to find a track, you will know about it. Do you have any problems with separeation rules in the latest version by the way?How often? Sometimes, wich are for me A LOT because it should be NEVER because it's a basic rule... So it's about lucky nd i don't get more because i use a huge number of artists.
Do you run it using the API? I don't see any reason for it not to work, if it's configured properly. Ensure that the paths are correct. It does not show error when the source playlist is not available. The command does not work when run from another PC sharing the same database, and an event with many actions
There's no such state as "played" for scheduled events as most of the time, events are supposed to run multiple times. Sorting the events by "Run in" field allows you to see all the events that are about to start at the top. Filtering events that are not going to start anytime soon is a possible improvement, but I'm not sure about it, as hiding events can cause other problems.what might be a good improvement would be that in the scheduler window it could be possible to only show the "outstanding" items to be played, the current system shows both the items that are outstanding and also those that have already been played
This is what the "Run now" button is for, but as you have noted it will start the playback immediately if the event has this option enabled. You can consider using the Search instead, it allows to guickly find a track with required duration. Dragging scheduled events is not intuitive and I don't think many people will use such a feature.it might also be useful for some broadcasters to be able to drag an item from the scheduler window to the playlist window. in my screen shot i would like to drag an extra scheduled program to the playlist to "flesh out" a playlist that has a gap in it.
It queues only after the scheduled items (items with "clock" icon), not after the regular music tracks - if there are regular tracks, it will be inserted as the next track. There are no icons in your playlist so it's hard to tell what actually happens.in this screen shot, i have a scheduled event set to run at 21.03 as you see, and i wanted to set it into the playlist to queue up, but it inserts it as next
If nothing is playing, start time is not calculated by default. If you need it to calculate, right click the first item and select the "Calculate start time" option.when you queue up multiple events ready to play in the playlist, it doesn't show the start time, even though the system should know the start times based upon the unplayed durations
i think you are making fun... The questions you ask would be avoided if you pay attention... the 2 last pictures i published here prove that separation artists happens a lot, 2 in 3 weeks at least and i don't check the log every days. The log doesn't light this error, only shows the track separation, so it's difficult to spot the errors, maybe this is why nobody reports the fails. (the fact the log doesn't report this error it's evident in the picture, there are 2 QUEEN tracks, but no error report on the log)"Sometimes", does it have a more concrete value like "artists are repeated once in a year"? Any problems with the rules are added to the log, so in case it's unable to find a track, you will know about it. Do you have any problems with separeation rules in the latest version by the way?
The file is not on the server
We'll check this again, thank you. I'd suggest to install the latest update just in case. Also, please check if the files are properly tagged. Track List does not parse file names. If artist field is empty, or the tag does not exist, it will ignore the repeat protection rule for such track.maybe this is why nobody reports the fails
