RadioBOSS 7.1 [beta]

I think this would be possible to add, maybe even during this beta.

Can you please send screenshots of Track Tool configuration for the music? And how long is the voice track?

Do you only need it for Played tracks or also for nowplaying/next track?

For this feature, it doesn't matter how the tracks got into the playlist. The feature will calculate when the next hour starts and then stretch/squeeze tracks to end them at hour end.

How did you configure the bed, is it in file type configuration?
Hi, here is a video to show you the voice track issue that plays at the end of the intro

Of course, this would not apply to the Priorities, but only to the ads within the same Priority. This would be a big step for customer satisfaction. For now, I do this manually quite often.

I hope this will be included in this version. For us as a commercial radio, this item is quite important. For example, it would prevent the competitor’s advertisement from going one after the other.

Testing 7.1.0.2. Cart wall UAC.

Logical bug:
- A user who has no 'edit cart wall' privileges and uses a 'No UAC' cart wall can use it fine. However, the "No UAC" option should not be available for them to select.

If they select it, they lock themselves out and an admin would need to unlock it again.

I upgraded from Standard to Ultimate but didn't put in the license key in the software yet. Is this key valid for 1 year? Does it affect my update-subscription which I ordered recently in June 2024?

I have tested the repeat rules and they seem to work normally.
Just one observation that I have mentioned in other posts, when adding a folder randomly, the system should automatically identify the first song to play so that when it finishes playing it does not play that one, but the third or second song to play.

Example:
music folder:
song 1
song 2
song 3
song 4
song 5

First reproduction:
song 2
song 5
song 1

song 4
song 3

Second reproduction:
song 5
song 1

song 3
song 2
song 4

In several tests, the last song played is repeated from the first ones.
Do you understand what I'm trying to explain?

I have seen this happen too.

I’m having trouble understanding the intended function of the new "Minimum Time to Sweep" parameter when creating an event in the latest RadioBoss beta. Based on the name, I assumed this setting would prevent a sweeper from being inserted if the offset between the scheduled event time and the actual event start time was less than the specified threshold. However, in my testing, this setting does not appear to affect sweeper behavior at all.
For reference, I have both checkboxes enabled and the Maximum Time to Sweep set to 600 seconds to allow the scheduler as much flexibility as possible. One advantage of this setup is that it effectively reworks many overlong playlists. However, there are times when a playlist runs slightly past an event’s scheduled start time, and I would expect the Minimum Time to Sweep setting to leave things as they are in such cases. Do you have any suggestions for anything I should try to see this feature in action?

In both version 7.1.0.1 and 7.1.0.2
artwork.jpg is not saved correctly.
Although the extension is .jpg, the content of the file is png.
artwork_next.jpg is saved correctly.
Thank you, we'll check it.

For reasons that may be intentional or otherwise, the Stretch feature appears to be non-functional when settings such as Repeat rules and Skip files are enabled. This observation is based on tests conducted using a playlist generated with rules, with Skip files activated for Top of The Hour and similar scenarios.
Time Stretch does not know/care how a playlist was generated and with what options. It only checks the music tracks and their calculated start times. If your music is configured to belong to some file type, time stretch will not work for it as it ignores all file types.

After conducting some tests, I noticed that once File Types are added, the Stretch feature ceases to function.
Thank you, we'll check it.

This means that the Stretch feature does not work with File Types. For example, music tracks added directly to the playlist work with the Stretch feature, but once the music file is assigned to a File Type with features such as "Skip File Before" or "Skip File After" enabled, the Stretch feature no longer works. Essentially, File Types are used to set separate crossfades, skip specific tracks, and customize the broadcast title.
So, if you need the Stretch feature to work, all tracks added to the playlist should not be assigned to any File Type. In this case, you can only use the general crossfade settings for all tracks?

If possible, please press Ctrl+F4 to show a debug window then make a video with it. This bug seems to be hard to reproduce which means there are some conditions that need to be met.
Please also send a screenshot of Settings / Playback / Voice Tracking page.

Yes, the time stretch is only applied to music, and ignored for any file types.

When you pack songs or something that is in a playlist into a container, it would be interesting to have the possibility of adding a name to that container... do you understand?
Packing is done without questions asked so after you pack it, you can press Alt+4 (or right click, Tools / Edit) to change the name.

I'm not sure about it, but there's a possibility it will be added.

I have a feeling that something like this happens. But I haven't tested it thoroughly yet.
Time Stretch is not applied for any of the file types. Only for music.

Noted, thank you.

Buttons to export and import these rules are essential.
Mass application is very difficult without this.
I don't think it's that complex either.:)
Yes, it's no big deal, will be added in the next update.

Just upgrade to ultimate version and its saying that i have the express addition and I can't broadcast, might be a bug?
This only happens to pre-7.1 versions, they don't handle well Ultimate keys. You can use version 7.1. Older versions will not work with new keys.

Please contact us at support@djsoft.net and specify your keys, we'll check it.

If you have repeat protection rules they will handle this situation. E.g. do not repeat track every 20 minutes should be enough.

I have seen this happen too.
Each roll is independent from each other so last track of the previous roll can be the same as first track of the next roll.

In this case "sweep time" appears to be large, as it'll have to replace the last track almost entirely. This option is supposed to handle cases like when the last track of the hour ends like 3 seconds before hour end, it will not try to "sweep" those 3 seconds.
In your case looks like you should add more sweepers to select from.

Currently, yes. However, we see many requests about it. So we think of maybe adding a file type option like "Treat as music" or, alternatively, in Time Stretch feature select what file types can be speed adjusted.

That would be fantastic. Thanks
